विधि 1:  

• आप अपनी कंघी धोने से पहले उसे गर्म पानी में भिगो सकते हैं। नियम के मुताबिक, आपको इसे 3 मिनट से ज्यादा समय तक भिगोकर नहीं रखना चाहिए।  
• लकड़ी की कंघियों की सफाई के लिए गर्म पानी, साबुन और तेल का घोल उत्कृष्ट है। उपयोग करने से पहले कंघी को मिश्रण में 2 से 3 मिनट तक रहने दें। कंघी से सफाई उत्पाद को हटाने के लिए हम इसे पोंछने के लिए एक मुलायम सूती तौलिये का उपयोग करने का सुझाव देते हैं।  
• यदि आपके घर में कोई पुराना टूथब्रश पड़ा है तो आप उससे ब्रश के बीच की सफाई कर सकते हैं। उपयोग में लाने से पहले कारें हमेशा कंघी को ठीक से सुखाती हैं।  
• एक बार जब बाल सूख जाएं तो कंघी के दोनों तरफ तेल लगाना एक अच्छा विचार है, इससे एक सुरक्षात्मक फिल्म बन जाएगी। आपको यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि आप तेल को सतह पर एक समान परत में लगाएं।  

विधि 2:  

• लकड़ी की कंघी को साफ करने का सबसे अच्छा तरीका यह है कि पहले रूई के पैड को नारियल तेल या जैतून के तेल से गीला कर लें।  
• कंघी को कॉटन पैड से धीरे-धीरे गोलाकार गति में तब तक रगड़ें जब तक कि सभी जिद्दी अवशेष ढीले और निकल न जाएं।  
• कंघी के प्रत्येक दांत के बीच में जाने के लिए एक पतले कपड़े या साटन डेंटल फ्लॉस का उपयोग करें, किसी भी उत्पाद के निर्माण को हटाने के लिए आप टूथब्रश या छोटे विवरण वाले ब्रश और थोड़े से तेल से स्क्रब कर सकते हैं।  
• किसी भी अवशेष को हटाने के लिए कंघी को मुलायम कपड़े से पोंछ लें और फिर उसे अच्छी तरह सुखा लें।
